Overnight Monitor 

In cooperation with the Right Track Resource Center, NEON is hiring a full-time temporary Overnight Monitor from December to March. Duties include ensuring warming station facility rules are being followed and that guests have their needs met. Perform hourly walkthroughs of the facility to ensure guests’ safety. Maintain facility cleanliness. Notify incoming staff/volunteers of any concerning behaviors that have been observed. This position will be the sole staff member on site, accompanied by a rotating volunteer.


We’re looking for people with strong communication skills, who can direct with confidence, work independently, and are good at following and enforcing policies. Compensation is $21.50 - $22.21 per hour, set by NEON’s standardized compensation scale. This position is eligible for employee-only health insurance and will have access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Medicaid Benefits Specialist

This full-time NEON position will work directly with individuals and families to support them through the process of applying for Oregon Health Plan Medicaid programs, provide education on Medicaid benefits, and closely support successful navigation and access to health and social services. The Medicaid Benefits Specialist will build partnerships for referrals and provide coverage education via outreach to partners and community members. This position will also support clients as they access services from other programs and organizations as appropriate. Funding is currently secured for this position through June 30, 2025. It is anticipated that this position will be funded beyond that time, pending receiving additional grant and contract support. 

 

Compensation is $23.64 - $24.96 per hour, set by NEON’s standardized compensation scale. This hourly position is projected to be 40 hours per week with full benefits. NEON offers employee health, dental, and life insurance, employee assistance program, retirement match, a flexible work schedule, professional development, and wellness incentive (90 minutes paid wellness time per week as part of 40-hour schedule after orientation period). This position will be eligible for a COLA wage increase beginning July 1, 2025 if funding is secured to continue the position.
