Wellness at Work
Promoting Workforce Wellness and Resiliency
Working on the front lines of health care and behavioral health is exciting, fulfilling, and gratifying. It can also be stressful and overwhelming. Long hours working with people who are struggling to stay healthy while dealing with lots of personal, economic, and social challenges can really take its toll. Wellness at Work is here to help front line health care professionals and the people who support them stay healthy and happy and stay in the workforce.
If you are working in a position such as Community Health Worker, Peer Support Worker, Doula, Case Manager, or Chemical Dependency Counselor, CNA, Medical Assistant - or if you are a supervisor or administrator supporting this vital workforce - here are the opportunities available:
NEON recently received a Workforce Development Grant to support the health care work force throughout Oregon who are experiencing compassion fatigue and burnout related to the stress of providing services throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Wellness at Work provides continuing education credits for all its training opportunities. We also have substantial scholarships available, iPads for technical support, and other free wellness supports. Thanks to our partnership with Eastern Oregon University, opportunities for academic credit and academic counseling will be available at no cost. Other partners for this project include Oregon Community Health Worker Association (ORCHWA), COFA Alliance National Network (CANN), and Cornerstone Whole Healthcare (C-WHO).
Scholarships and iPads are widely available for individuals and organizations that qualify.
For more information about any of these opportunities, contact Kinda Cable at kcable@neonoregon.org.
